The Big Bang Theory is an American Sitcom, which centres five main characters living in Pasadena,California.The Characters includes, Leonard Hoffstader(experimental physicists) who shares an apartment with his colleague/bestfriend Sheldon Cooper(theoretical physicists), Penny, a waitress and an aspiring actress who later jumps into the business of pharmaceutical representative.They live across the hall.

The other two main characters include Howard Wolowitz (an aerospace engineer) and Rajesh Koothrapali (astrophysicists) who are similarly geeky and socially awkward as Leonard and Sheldon.
The show follows the contrast given to the intellect of our 4 geeky scientist and Penny's social skill and common sense.

Over the time, the supporting characters have been upgraded to the starring roles.These characters includes, Bernadette Rostenkowski, who is Howard's Girlfriend (later his wife), a microbiologist and have also worked with Penny in the Cheesecake Factory earlier as a waitress to support her finance for the study in microbiology.Amy Farah Fowler who joins the group as Sheldon's girlfriend was matched to his profile on a dating website.

The four main male characters are all avid Science fiction,Fantasy, and comic book fans and memorabilia collectors.
Various games have been featured, as well as referenced, on the show (e.g. World of Warcraft, Halo, Mario, etc.), including fictional games like Mystic Warlords of Ka'a (which became a reality in 2011) and Rock-Paper-Scissors-Lizard-Spock.
Currently season 9 is on air.The season is premiered with the start of Leonard an Penny's marriage problems,which is solved in later episodes.Sheldon's relationship with Amy has been also terminated.
The main theme is Leonard leaving Sheldon in his apartment and moving in With Penny after the marriage. Till now 4 episodes have been released.Compared to the other seasons of big bang it is going quite slow but lets hope it regains its pace in the future episodes.
